Donation Terms & Conditions

Donations
  1. Donations can only be accepted from within the UK at this time.
  2. No payment will be made for donated items.
  3. There is no limit on the number of items you may donate, nor on the number of times you may donate.
  4. We will accept donations that fulfil the below criteria:
    • We will only accept donations of TOAST branded products.
    • We will accept items in any condition, including items that are extensively damaged and beyond reasonable repair.
    • Donations must be dry but do not need to be clean or ironed.
    • Woollen donations must be moth-free.
  5. Items we accept:
    • Clothing including dresses, tops, trousers, skirts, knitwear, coats and nightwear. 
    • Accessories including leather bags, belts, hats, socks, tights, scarves and gloves.
    • Footwear including trainers, leather shoes or boots and slippers.
    • Homeware including blankets, throws, cushion covers, linens, aprons, towels and rugs.
  6. Items we can’t accept:
    • Jewellery, sunglasses, baskets, ceramics, glass, cushion inserts, liquids, wooden items, furniture, garden tools, stationery, candles and kitchen accessories.
Sending us your Donation
  1. In-store donations should be handed directly to a member of the TOAST team during normal opening hours for processing. We politely request that you do not leave donations outside our shops.
  2. Donations can also be sent, free of charge, to our warehouse using a tracked courier service with local drop off points widely available.
  3. Donations sent to our warehouse must be registered on our donation portal using a valid email address. We politely request that you do not send donations directly to our warehouse.
  4. Receipt of donations by the courier service will be confirmed by email. You will not be notified of delivery to our warehouse.
  5. Once an item has been donated, it cannot be returned to the customer.
  6. It will be deemed that you have made your donation, and we have accepted it from you, either at the point you hand it to us in store or at the point you drop off when using our courier service. In the unusual event of loss or damage during transit, we are unable to accept responsibility.
Our use of your Donation
  1. The end use of the donation will depend on its condition and will be at our discretion.
  2. Donations may be:
    • Resold on our website.
    • Reused in any other of our TOAST Circle initiatives.
    • Sent to our charity partner TRAID. Items may then be sold in TRAID stores, may be sold to textile processors within the UK to then be exported or may be recycled. TRAID is a registered charity in England and Wales (297489), partnering with Rights Education And Development Centre (READ). READ is registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975.
  3. We are unable to inform you of the end use of your donation.
General Terms
  1. We reserve the right to update these terms & conditions at any time.
  2. We can choose to end this service at any point, in which case all donated products will be sent to our charity partner.
  3. Should any dispute occur regarding the service or the terms and conditions, we will make reasonable endeavours to resolve but our decision is final.
