• This basket was made from bulrushes cut from the banks of the river Yangze. Collecting, drying and weaving the rushes that grow here provides an income for local craftsmen and women. To keep your basket looking its best, we recommend submerging the basket in water once every six months – this tightens the weave and helps to prevent fraying.
