A good-sized can of very superior, unfiltered, extra virgin olive oil from the olive groves of castelvecchio – a family-run farm built upon the ruins of an old castle near Florence. Some of the olive trees here are over 100 years old and the fruity oil is fragrant, smooth and delicious. The olives are gathered exclusively by hand and first cold-pressed, resulting in an oil with a low acidic taste, and a full, decisive flavour – spicy with a hint of artichoke.
